4x Cruisers (Elite Federation Mentes/Quadrieis)
3x Battleships (Federation Praktor Magister/Phanix)

Tip
You should be able to kill all of the webbing and scrambling Elite Federation Manicas before they reach webbing range.
You might need to focus on the Federation Mataras first because they will dampen you.
This mission was easily done in an active tanked Tengu.

Blitz
Kill all Destroyers upon warp-in (spawns wave 1).
Kill all BS until wave 3 spawns.
Kill all BS from wave 3.

Example of tag loot:
6x Federation Navy Fleet Captain Insignia I
1x Federation Navy Fleet Colonel Insignia I
10 Federation Navy Fleet Colonel Insignia II
23 Federation Navy Fleet Major Insignia I
4x Federation Navy Fleet Midshipman Insignia I
8x Federation Navy Fleet Sergeant Insignia I
8x Federation Navy Fleet Sergeant Insignia II
3x Federation Navy Fleet Sergeant Insignia III

Loot and salvage seems worth the 5 minutes to me.
1.4m salvage
15m Tags
2.6m Loot

Faction Standings
Will incur a -0.02% standing loss with Gallente Federation for "Combat - Ship Kill". This should be safe to run unless your standings with the Gallente are already just barely above -2.

Just a heads up the praktor hexeris x3 in group 2 orbit at about 51km
-- BcZateki (2011-05-18 18:14:38)
When I triggered Wave 2, there were 4 Elite Federation Manicas that each Sensor Dampened me down to 20k range. That's a lot of incoming damage to tank while the frigates get in range to target for your drones..
-- ZikatArzi (2011-08-20 22:29:18)
Wave 1 had 4 Hexeris. Wave 2 spawned after killing 2 of them. Mission completed (item pickup msg in local) after killing the second to last BS from wave 1, before Wave 3 even spawned.

The high-orbiting Hexeris/Phanix took ages to whittle down with Microwave Pulses. Didn't have drone range or AB to catch up. Had to warp out twice to get in range. Tank was also getting dangerously low with 6 BS up at once. luckily scramblers were already dead at that point.

After running the mission a couple more times, it turns out waves 2 and 3 are assigned to a specific Hexeris from wave 1. I just got wave 3 after killing the second to last Hex,, and wave 2 after killing the last one. Mission completion triggers seem to vary though.
-- PhoenixPhoenix (2011-12-19 12:21:05)
After more runs of this mission, I think I've finally figured out the mission completion trigger. The trigger BS ALWAYS seems to spawn in Wave 2 (dampening wave). It's either keep one BS from this wave alive or keep the Magister BS from this wave alive (if it spawns). By doing so, I've been able to kill all other ships and not trigger the mission complete.

As for which BS triggers wave 2/3 spawns... To keep track of things and help cut down on incoming DPS, I have always tagged the BS (Hexeris) farthest away from me. This BS stays alive until all other ships are down. Without fail, this BS will trigger wave 3. Wave 2 BS trigger is more complex and I'm still working that out... It's complicated by the fact that BS in wave 1 can spawn as Hexeris/Phanix/Conivus/Longa. I have been killing Conivus/Longa first if they spawn and (don't think) they have triggered wave 2.

I'll be removing my previous mission complete comments above.

Also, I think waves 2 and 3 listed above might be reversed. I'll make note of what spawns tomorrow and see if I can get that cleared up. Or would you (whomever reads these comments) prefer the MC trigger spawns in wave 3?
-- SmokeLuvr1971 (2012-01-02 01:45:09)
I had the last BS of wave 3. It was also the last ship of the pocket, so maybe there is no blitz
-- AntonKumamato (2012-01-04 18:55:14)
Ugh, just had a spawn today where wave 1 had only a single Hexeris in it. And this lone Hexeris DIDN'T spawn wave 3. It did spawn wave 2 tho. Ok, so 9 times out of 10 the hexeris fartherst from you initially will spawn wave 3.

As to the waves...
Wave 1 (30Km):
5 BS
3 BC
8 Destroyers
3 Elite Frigates (Scram/Web)

Wave 2 (50Km):
3 BS (one of which is MC trigger)
4 BC
3 Elite Frigates (Dampening)

Wave 3 (30Km):
2 BS
4 Elite Cruiser
2 Elite Firgates (Scram/Web)

This is what I mean by the waves listed above might be reversed. This is how this mission spawns for me and how I deal.
Wave 1: kill everything but leave BS's for last (mark Hexeris)
Kill single BS until another wave spawns (most often wave 2)
Kill rest BS from this wave, excepting marked Hexeris
Wave 2: kill everything from this wave excepting a single BS
Kill remaining Hexeris from wave 1 (spawns wave 3 most often)
Wave 3: kill everything

Done this mission literally hundreds of times and it mostly spawns this way from the above pattern. I will experiment and see if the MC trigger is indeed a BS from wave 2 or all ships down from wave 2.

Final note. Cleaned up the ship/wave description. Not sure on the Cruiser/BC names tho and I think I missed one of the wave 1 BS spawn types. Confirmed last BS killed from wave 2 (does not matter which) triggers mission complete. Got the complete even with a Frig and BC present from that wave, so it is the last BS and not the last ship from wave 2. I think I'm done posting on this mission finally.
-- SmokeLuvr1971 (2012-01-15 03:03:44)
Just completed this mission about an hour ago. I killed everything and can confirm that there was no standings loss.
-- ShooterMcgavvin (2012-11-25 23:38:05)
I believe the lack of standing loss mentioned in the previous comment was caused by a bug since Retribution 1.0 was released but has now been fixed in Retribution 1.1. I don't dare accept this mission with my high Gallente Faction standings. If I get offered it again in the future I'll check to see if anyone else more daring has done this mission and posted whether there is still no standing loss.
-- JimParsons (2013-02-22 22:29:04)
Confirmed lack of standing loss before was caused by the bug. Just ran this mission and took 3 hits of -0.02% standings each for "Combat - Ship Kill". Very small.
