Just encountered a variation of this mission. Upon engaging the cruiser in G2, only the 4 frigates (3 Libertus and 1 Manica) appeared. After they were destroyed, the Caldari Traitor spawned, but in a Cruiser. Once I engaged him, G4 spawned and it was 1 Hastarius, 1 Loras, and 1 Misthios.

My gallente standing didn't change after completing the mission.

I received a Gallente Faction penalty of -0.018% fifteen minutes after completing this mission. I had destroyed only ships, but destroyed all of them.
