Need a good tank if you're flying a Caldari ship. Did it with some cap issues in a Raven by shooting the Cruise batteries and the the Heavy missile ones, then proceeding down the list, going from cruiser to the 2 mission objectives (I shot them last because they didn't seem to be doing a lot of damage.

Drones were put on the scramming frigates on warp in (although I didn't get scrammed)

Second time I did this was in a CNR with T2 hardeners (2XEM, 2XTherm). Very easy as long as you kill the cruise/heavy missile batteries asap.
-- Sp4rt4nII70 (2008-07-07 16:08:54)
Quite easy in a Typhoon due to good EM and therm base resistances of minnie ships.

1 LAR, DC, 2x EM, 2x Therm (all T2) more than sufficient for tanking.
-- DaFlox (2008-08-13 15:46:48)
Usually I only get to kill 2-3 of the frigates before having to leave and try again. This time I went in with a Domi w/ 2x LAR, 3x EM Hardener, 1x Thermal Hardener and took out the cruise then heavy missile batteries first. It went pretty easily even with one of the frigates webbing me. I don't think the second LAR was wholly necessary though. Also, it turns out that the towers are primarily weak against thermal, while the ships are (as expected) primarily weak against EM.
-- OuroBorus (2008-09-10 12:14:40)
Went in with a Mael, X-large booster, 3 magnetic amps, 2 heat dissipators, and 5 power diags in the lows, all T2. Didn't even come close to having to warp out.
-- AremonMoonserpent (2008-09-29 14:39:11)
With only 225dps at range, a sustained defense efficiency of 400 (Sansha profile: 55% EM / 45% Therm) was enough to easily complete the second room without warping (targetting Cruise batteries, then heavies first).
-- CasCaDego (2008-10-01 00:59:10)
I had similar values like CasCaDego in my Drake, I had not to warp out either, but couldnt have stayed there forever - if I hadnt killed the cruises and heavies fast, it would have been time to leave since my shield was down to 30%. It recovered fast though after killing the launchers and sentries.
-- VaLTrantor (2008-10-06 09:02:48)
Abaddon 8x MPL II, 1x AB II, 3x CRII, 2x LAR II, 2x CPR II, 3x Resist (2x EANM II/1x DC II)
I was feeling lazy and didn't switch from omni resists. Entrance pocket didn't scratch the tank; second pocket required both LARs and was still slowly breaking my tank. Had plenty of time to reduce the incoming DPS though.
-- ThaddeusBrutor (2008-10-14 08:08:23)
I just ran this in my Raven with no problems at all on part two. They were unable to hardly get my shields down. Here is the setup. http://www.battleclinic.com/forum/index.php/topic,14665.0.html
-- UntrueHero (2008-10-31 14:45:25)
I completed this mission with no problems in a Sleipnir.
EM hardner, Thermal hardner, damage control, Large shield booster, and boost amp. Throw in a AB, and lots of autocannons. Easy

The DPS is fairly heavy though, because even with 85% em, and 80% thermal resistances, the shield still drops slowly, but again, plenty of time to reduce the dps.
-- KhurI (2008-11-30 08:01:33)
fairly easy wit a mael, 2x EM and 2x Thermal, 3 PDS, 1 tracking, 1 gyro
No warp out needed, DPS wasnt bad at all.
EMP L rounds cut right through them.
-- ThePear (2008-12-19 15:03:09)
If you are unsure about your tank for the Single Pocket of part two, then try this: After clearing the Pocket Entrance, jump into a noob ship and go through the gate. Bookmark where the gate lands you and warp away. Then use the bookmark to warp your missioning ship to within 100KM of the bookmark.
-- RachelVoegel (2009-02-02 11:50:30)
Just finished this in an Navy Issue Apocalypse, 8x Mega Beams, 4x CR II, 1x Navy EANB, 2x Hardeners II (EM + Therm), 1x LAR II, 3x Heat Sinks II, 1x Tracking Enhancer II. Was never scrammed. Armor never fell below 50%. First i took out the sentries/missiles, then the BS's, then the rest of them. Hobs II and Hammerheads II for the fast critters. No real problem with this setup.
-- AinurSefarin (2009-02-14 08:25:22)
Just a note on the asteroids. I got a mix of Omber, Scordite, and Veldspar rather than all Veldspar as reported.
-- MikeDavout (2009-02-15 18:02:27)
i got all vesps, as reported,
-- ChokoDango (2009-02-19 14:23:01)
For the first mish, I got veld, and the second was indeed a mix of scord, veld, and omber.

Also, the second room is easily doable in a Drake. Take out the cruise missile batteries, (about 3 racks of Scourge) then the heavies (about 2 racks of scourge) then worry about the cruisers. After that it's a piece of cake. You might need to swap out for a higher DPS boat for the BS, though, (as with earlier BSs in this mission) as they have a _large_ armour rep amount, so it's more efficient to swap out.

Also, Rachel Voegel's comment _needs_ to be added to the article. Pocked 2 isn't deadspace.
-- AsdayXyfu (2009-02-22 19:48:31)
Did it in an omnitank Drake fit (1 EM, 2 Invuln, 3 LSE, 2 SPR). Tanked fine, shield never went below 60%. Also, I have done this mission a few times recently and I have yet to be scrambled by the frigs in the second part (only webbed). Took about 35 minutes for both parts.
-- OneShot (2009-03-09 22:43:48)
asteroids are 8 x omber 50k each, 10 x scordite 25k each, 6 x veldspar 90k each.
-- MrLurkio (2009-03-20 15:43:56)
Looks like something changed recently : I just did this mission again, and in the first part you now warp directly on top of the "Slave Pen" (no more slowboating for 40 kms to "loot" the prisonners, yay !).

Also, there were only 1 BS (Dark Lord), 2 BCs (Daemons) and 4 Frigates (3 Berzerkers, 1 Demon) in the initial spawn, but the amount of asteroids is still the same, and the "Sansha Slaver" BS still spawns after 10 minutes or so (didn't check my watch, but I had killed everything and wrote half this post before it spawned).

I might add another comment if the second part has also changed ...
-- KeryNysell (2009-03-28 13:50:11)
i had no problem with tank. standard domi setup, 2 LAR (didnt use the second one) 2 em hardners, two thermic, 1 eanm. drones set to aggressive and watch a movie
-- ForTorn (2009-03-31 00:13:05)
Done in an Abaddon with 1 LAR, 2 EM + 2 Therm Hardener, 2 HeatSinks. Very easy, can be completed in under 15 Minutes and the rats are nowhere near to breaking my tank.

Frigs never scrambled, only webbed. Shoot Cruise Missile and Heavy Missile Turrets first, after that the incoming DPS is pathetic.
-- SyzGre (2009-05-01 18:49:36)
The Pocket of the 2nd Part seems to be normal space, not deadspace.
-- GouvViki (2009-06-09 01:00:40)
Might want a target painter for the elite cruisers; I have GMP III and was landing 58 damage against them with Paradise cruises.
-- RuoBoat (2009-06-28 01:47:13)
Don't forget the Sansha slaver if you go back to mine! Although the two shots that hit as I was aligning out did no damage :)
-- PassageWay (2009-07-28 15:39:29)
Part 1: Don't forget the slaver simply because of the bounty either.
Part 2: A more than sufficient tank for a passive CNR would simply be doubled hardners and 3 BCSes.
-- JackUnderhill (2009-08-18 18:28:19)
Part 1: Flew away from them in my T2 fitted Rokh. (Very easy difficulty). ca. 15 min + clean up
Part 2: (Pocket intrance easy) Read tips. Flew away from them in my T2 fitted Rokh. (Normal difficulty) ca. 25 min + clean up.
-- MrT (2009-09-12 14:30:53)
Done in Faction fitted Vargur;
Part 1: The Centus dark lord tanked hella dps (repeated 600+ dps wreaking shots from my 4 dual 650 Ac's) The sansha slaver suck up on me when I was salvaging (Drunk lol) but was easily dispatched with afore mentioned 650's. about the same time to complete as the above Caldari scum...J/K (One of my alt's and some of my best friends are Caldari Scum) lol.

Part 2: I rushed through this so I could mine the omber. Added a Heavy SW-900 Webifier drone to the mix which let me instapop the little guys, The first room dished out boukup dps (hit all the sentries and stasis towers first), easily tanked, although I used 2 800 boosters.
Easy/Medium easy.
-- McApoc (2009-10-07 23:32:30)
Part 1: New BC-Shipname: Centatis Daemon, had only 4 Frigs.
-- GouvViki (2009-10-20 12:16:01)
Done both in dual LAR pulse Abaddon.

On the Second mission, took out missile batteries first - never broke tank.
-- XoddHil (2009-10-23 16:25:37)
Ishtar pilots ("blitz"): takes max 10-15 mins.

Part 2:
Entrance: kill everything (ogre II)
Pocket: launch light drones on frigs (hobo > warrior), align till 30-40km, take down sentries with wardens (web, battery etc), and the two slavers. Other kills are optional of course.
-- SpLend0r (2009-10-25 08:02:16)
Too easy in a Domi. Warp in, aggro and let the drones do the rest.

2x cap recharge II, 3 omnilinks
2x Therm hard II, 1x EM hard II, 1x EANM II, 2x Cap relay II, 1x LAR II
2x CCC, 1 Sentry damage rig.
-- CrashCat (2009-10-29 12:02:11)
fun with a deimos(active armor, 91/88 resists), mwd, and 250 rails. snipe small stuff from 70Km, the bigger ships don't have good tracking on their guns so 10Km orbit @ 200m/s or so, with antimatter shot does the rest.
-- MaciejSimm (2009-11-22 13:16:37)
1 LAR, 2 Heatsinks, 2x EM, 2x Therm all t2 exept for LAR, very easy, with all of the other comments i thought i would have to warp out in my apoc but it was very easy. I just one shot most of the sentries and was the rest were easy. ( stage 2)
-- DeathPerfect (2009-11-23 09:07:40)
In a shield-tanked Ishtar with EM and Therm hardeners and full skills - just barely able to tank room 2. Found this much easier in a dominix with appropriate hardeners.
-- ProteusCronus (2009-12-23 17:53:08)
Paladin: 1 LAR, EM, Therm all T2 + Navy EAN, 3 Heatsinks - same as DeathPerfect found that I could 1 shot all the sentries and no issues with tank at all.
-- TommyGunn (2010-02-20 08:52:04)
The Stasis towers seem to have a very low maximum range. I never get closer than 20 kilometers and they've never even targeted me. can anyone else confirm?
-- CrucO (2010-03-08 19:15:16)
One can avoid a lot of damage in the second pocket by simply flying straight down until you're at about 45km from the batteries. Works great for a Drake w/ AB. Note that the batteries might target your drones if they get too close however.
-- LordNikon (2010-06-26 08:51:25)
Mission 1 mil
Bounty 4 mil
Loot+Salvage 2000m3 (including 1pc. meta-4 worth 3 mil)
-- IrodEllen (2010-07-15 09:42:10)
First mission I had to blitz, second mission was easy in a Hurricane with T2 720mm Howitzers. Kited at 60Km, didn't break through an passive shield tank.

Took a long time, and not enough DPS to get through the BS in the first missions armour.
-- RobbieCrash (2010-08-09 00:06:06)
Part 1: (Which is really easy in a golem btw.) I warped in and killed all the rats, then for some reason I forgot to take the slave pen (prolly had the wrong overview setting) so I warped out of the system. Having realized this I warp back to the system and the missin to take the slave pen. A new Sansha Bs spawnd, 1.1 mill.

I didn't try this more times, but is this mission (part1) possible to farm by leaving the slave pen intact? Anyone who can elaborate?
-- JeroNimax (2010-08-26 12:02:38)
@JeroNimax

The new Sansha BS that spawned is the Sansha Slaver. As stated above, it spawns roughly 10 minutes after the others. It does not spawn again after that, so that's a no as far as farming it.
-- ReEvolved (2010-08-27 06:13:04)
2x MARII damnation, this was easy as. never dropped below a single repper cycle, 2nd mar was unneeded. setup was 2x MARII, 1x EM hardener II, 1x THERM hardener II, 1x EANM II, 1x BCSII, 3 CRII, 1x TPII, 5x HML II, salvager and tractor beam. completed in 10 minutes.
-- LittleT15 (2010-09-04 11:26:38)
The stasis webifier towers' range seems to be 15K. So you can speedtank this mission if you keep range from those towers.
-- GergelyCzuczy (2010-11-01 03:25:48)
Easily accomplished in an Armor Tanked Megathron (N-type EM Armor Harder x2, N-type Thermal Armor Hardener x2, Large Armor Repair II x2). Lost no drones..
-- NardoGold (2010-11-26 13:11:14)
Tengu with 2 Photon Scattering Field, 1 DCII provides sufficient active tank.

Here's the rub- the sentry batteries in the second room of the second mission appear to have trained their multitasking skill. I had redbox from every enemy in the room; but both my salvage fleet mate AND my drones (all five) were taking damage.

I wasn't using smartbombs, and my salvage fleety was >30 kilometers away in any case. Can anyone confirm?
-- CrucO (2010-12-25 01:11:25)
Post-patch 18-Jan 2011, Downing the Slavers, no Omber in the first pocket. Anyone else seeing this also?
-- WernerVonBraun (2011-01-19 15:11:37)
They've removed a lot of "high end ores" from missions and some sites. Was in the patch notes.

No idea if Downing the Slavers was affected, CCP doesn't appear to publically publish such lists.
-- ForteEXE (2011-01-19 22:45:39)
Downing the Slavers Part 2 with Sansha has changed a bit

The Omber was removed in the Incursion 1.1.0 patch (Build 221279) and looks to have been replaced with little Veldspar roids instead.

Scordite seems unchanged.

Pocket Entrance: (6) 90K Veldspar, (8) 50K Veldspar, (10) 25K Scordite

Total ore from mining is now
Scordite 250 K
Veldspar 940 K

No changes noted with the ships and bounties.
-- DarioK (2011-01-30 01:58:46)
Confirmed, no Omber.
-- OnyxEye (2011-04-15 23:20:46)
Did it in passive tanked, T2 fitted Drake. Immediately after appearing in pocket I put full speed ahead with AB. All rats followed destroyed all frigates with about 60% of tank after that it was easy. I could control the engagement with distance. Only small part of Sentries started to fire me, none of stasis activated...
Finished Cruisers and Battleship more than 100 km from towers so even these that actually shoot at me had minimal impact.
-- ReaveToralen (2011-11-07 17:11:15)
Mission 1- cleaned it out easy in a T2 fitted Rokh (2 EM passive hardeners and full tank skills), but when I went back in my Noctis to clean up, the BS had respawned! I may have loitered a bit on getting back, but not by much- maybe 10 minutes, tops.
-- AceStriker (2012-05-15 23:38:05)
Pocket 2 -

Done in a passive Rattlesnake. Took out the tacklers with Hobnobs while working on the batteries with cruise missiles. Hammerheads made short work of everything left. Shields kept above 60%.

-- BasBoshoven (2013-02-16 16:24:43)
In part 2, I did it in a very high resist, Pithum C boosted, 720 Artillery Sleipnir. Was webbed by everything that could web; the comment that the stasis tower range was about 15km was not the case. Did the towers first, starting with heavy missiles. Nothing targeted drones - 3x Hammerheads 2x hobs attacking web/scram frigates. Going from a comment above, I used Therm on towers, EM on the ships, which worked well. Glad I pushed my tank up (used a command link on a ship in-system but not with me and a DC) as it was sit and shoot until both frigs and both towers were down; glad or not, I was probably overtanked. All the ships went down reasonably fast.
-- JackUnderhill (2013-06-19 20:57:05)
In part 2, you can just use a MJD (Micro Jump Drive) and kill everything at range, incoming dps @100km is near zero.
-- LolesChech (2013-07-29 11:00:37)
Ran with Vexor Navy Issue with high armor resists. Very easy missions, both parts. Arrived on grid and got some distance with MWD. Then sentry drones (Curator I) chewed through everything in just a few minutes. Armor never fell below a single rep cycle. Did not get webbed or warp scrambled.
