When you start shooting at sentries (they lightly hit for everything, mostly EM and Thermal) the whole pocket aggros.

Rachen Mysuna has a 50km orbit range and 75% chance for shield boost (1000hp each 10 seconds) so low SP BS pilots can have problems breaking his tank. Rachen's 25% chance for defender doesn't help either. If you are a Raven pilot and can't handle it from distance, warp out and warp in again, then get closer (afterburner can help) and wait until he starts shooting you. Loot can be quite good (like Arbalest Cruise + Siege, named 350mm Railgun etc.).

To be honest, I heard a few times that it isn't possible to kill Mysuna without Torps. :) Well I personally finished him from 50km using T1 Wrath Cruise Missiles, without drones. All depends on skills and equipment. If you're droning be aware that he is VERY resistant to thermal. Wasps or even Wardens are preferable to Gardes and Ogres.

Rachen Mysuna is easier to kill when webbed to slow down. Was able to take her out with a heavy missile t1 drake once a friend put 2 webs on her and slowed the speed down to 40; took less than 12 volleys then. Without the speed her tank dies quickly under scourge heavy missiles (xr-3200 launchers too) (10/15/11)

Guristas War Installation drops rubbish loot (like 100 Light Missiles, Small NOS, 250mm T1 Railgun and Malkuth Rocket launcher).

Blitz No real blitz must clear first 2 pockets to proceed into 3rd room

TIP

I did the mission while flying a HAMGu (Heavy Assault Missle Tengu), I directly burned towards Rachen and orbitted at 7500m he couldnt hit me and since it was the first target i did not have any problems with an insane tank. So it might be that his tank gets triggered after you kill something else first. Mind it was a t2 fitted hamgu, only high meta item was the AB. It might be that you get webbed by the frigs while burning towards him, just dispatch them. It was easier than i expected.

After taking out all the other spawn in the Third Pocket I followed Rachen spamming heavy Navy Scourge missles at him. After about 15-20m he turned on me nearly tripling his speed. Pulls up next to me and I was able to break the shield tank with just the heavy missles. Flying a T2 fitted Drake with Kinetic specific hardeners. Drop was crap XT9000 Cruise.

Completed on Drake with T1 hardeners and T2 launchers. I warped out before engaging Rachen and fitted 3 ballistic controls, caldary navy scourge missiles, and afterburner. Finished Rachen without reloading my launchers. Warp out points are close to gates, so it didn't take much time.

I just completed this in a Vindicator with 350mm Railguns and 5 Vespa II (Caldari Drone Specialization Skill in Level 3). It takes a while on Rachen Misuna, but it is possible. Everything was really easy tankable, so next time I'll go with less tank and 3 Magfield stabs instead of just 1.

Just finished in Nighthawk. All T2 fitted. Used scourge heavy missiles.
3 Bcu T2 . Easy mission. Rachen went down like a sack. No trouble tanking any of the pockets.

Killed him in a Drake with CN-Launchers and 3*CN-BCS, used 1 SPR, specific hardeners and 2 LSE t2. He was down after 18 salvoes, was shooting him from a close distance though (20 km) because a mate bumped him with his Kestrel it was very easy to approach him.

With my old fitting (7*Arbalest, 3*BCS t2) it took much longer, so I suggest to get some help if you fly a lowskill/lowend BC for more damage.

Rachen Mysuna went down pretty quickly using a Deimos fitted with Heavy Neutron IIs and Anti-matter ammo, also using Infiltrator IIs... (for some reason he seemed vulnerable to EM drones as they did better then HH IIs which I had used the first time i came across this mission). Also, relatively easier to tank in a Deimos as a smaller ship and is armour tanking so less sig.

I didn't get good loot from this mission. Was difficult to beat Rachen Misuna's tank, but after the shields were gone, it went real quick.

Rachen's tank is similar to Usurper or other high-end guristas. Will take 2x longer but if you have t2 guns + drones it goes down nicely.

Everybody here is right about the Misuna but I did it in my drake with T2 heavy launchers it took some time to get close enough and until then I hardly damaged the shield but then I came in range and used my MEdium Nosferatu II and it drained it like a swamp and it took like 1 min then it was over, but until you get in range it is a hard mother to kill

completed with ease T2 fitted drake, all related skills at 4-5. 7x Launchers with Sourge Fury Heavy's, 5 t2 hobgobs... one Dread Guristas BCU. only took about 3-5 minutes to down the last guy. but at 327 x 7 every 7 seconds + Drones... meh. Total mission completed in about 20 minutes give or take.

Just to note, my drones did get agro on both the first and second pockets. They were set to passive and only attacking agro'd targets, but other ships locked them anyway.

The mission itself isn't too hard. Drake was fitted:

But, I did notice if you chase him to the edge of the pocket's grid he does head towards the player somewhat giving you a chance to catch up to him. Personally I couldn't even get him to 4/5th shields when he was 50km out. Once I had him at 12km he was a piece of cake.

Every time I've fought Misuna his active tank just stops after 1-3 reloads, and perhaps coincidentally seems to stop exactly on a reload. I usually use CN ammo for him, but I'm going to see if his tank still stops with non-CN ammo the next time I see this mission.

I fly a Drake, my experience with the mission has been while low to moderately skilled in missiles, and if his active tank didn't "stop" it would otherwise take me a long time to kill him.

It may be that he's scripted to "run out of cap", and that this aspect of the mission is a lot easier than it's made out to be here.

Finished it couple times already in Apocalypse, using 5x tachyon modulated energy beams t1, tho its impossible to kill it without heat sinks, i always equip 2x t2 for this mission, drones used Wespa t2

Done in Navy Issue Apoc. Tanked with 1 LAR, 2 KIN + 2 THERM + 1 EM hardeners II., so I had space left for 2 HS. First 2 pockets went real quick. In the last pocket, the bad guy is pretty far away, and there's lots of thing to kill before he comes in range. That EM hardener was really handy here.
Got him in the end with pulse lasers II and scorchs crytals + vespas II.

Stormed through this in my CNR. I've got very n00b missile skills btw, so it's a dead easy mission. That tough dude at the end was... tough - required 23 volleys to take him out - his 2.5mil bounty made up for that though. Signal amplifier lets me lock and kill things up to 112km away, which is useful since in the last room most things started off at 99km away. I'm using a +3% CPU implant because of my poor fitting skills.

Just finished this in a T1/2 fit Raven, a la Liang fit, with 3x Warhead Rigors. After trying about six reloads with Caldari Navy Wrath Cruises and clearly not being able to crack his tank, I tried another tactic.

Dropped the heavy cap booster, and fitted a standard 100MN afterburner I, and a heavy Nos I. Using the afterburner I was able to get within range of the Nos, drain him, and he dropped in 3 reloads.

Completed in a Hurricane/Drake combo (just for speed). He is clearly weakest to Kinetic damage; with poor missile skills (Heavy Missiles II, Target Navigation Prediction II) and seven heavy launchers on the Drake, he took the following damage:

747.9 from Scourge (Kin)
543.9 from Thunderbolt (EM)
407.9 from Havoc (Exp)
272 from Widowmaker (Therm)

I used artillery (loaded with Phased Plasma) in the Hurricane for most of the trash mobs, then refit with 425mm AC IIs (loaded with Barrage) for Mysuna. Seemed to work just fine.

I tryed to kill this final guy with maelstrom (5 mil SP char), it was almost impossible at that range. I was following him for about 10 mintues when he reached the end of pocket and turned back. He also turned of his shield booster nad I had no problems to kill him now. Bug or not, thanks CPP :)

Lost a t2 medium drone due to the info falsely stating that drones wouldn't aggro in pocket 1. Couldn't even pull it in fast enough to save it. Corrected the info.

Just got a Maelstrom with 10k sp,
- T1 meta 4 guns.
- Large Shield Booster II
- 2x Inv Shield II
- Balistic Shield II
- Heat shield II

Pocket 1: Had artillery fitted and had to warp out. Blasted remaining away with Auto cannons
Pocket 2: Needed 1 warp out I think
Pocket 3: Killed the 2 ships close by and then I had to warp out.
At try 2 I used artillery and shot down the 4 webbers. Try 3 I took out the rest except for Mysuna.

Piss for Mysuna:
I warped out when Mysuna was the last one remaining. Then I equipped Large Shield Booster II, 1 heat shield II, 2 ballistic shields II and 100mn AB. Warped in and did not target him. I flew to him to 8km without getting aggro (Vespa drones out). Then I attacked him with my auto cannons (close combat) and he died within less then a minute and shields above 95%. It only took a couple of minutes to get back after the warp out since there is no need to travel to the 2nd and 3rd warp gate.

After the struggling first part I was very happy the last boss was such a piss :)

Completed in a Navy 'Geddon. Everything went down quick and easy with 7 Tachs. Rachen dropped like a brick with Tachs and 5 Wardens (Navy 'Geddon has a 175 m3 drone bay). Tank held fine with one LAR and 3 Hards. Overall easy mish.

I couldn't break Misunas tank in passive Drake with 7x T2 HML with Scourge heavies at 60km (BC skill @3 lol), so I swapped with an active shield Tengu with 6x T2 HML and Scourge Furies...got him down with 1 reload.

Since Mysuna had a massive shield tank, I used EMP L ammo without a problem. I tore through the shields with the EMP L ammo and the Vespas kept the regen
down while I ripped through the armor. I didn't use more than an extra salvo or two off of what I normally use for Extinguishers. Mind you I normally
don't use the drones on Extinguishers.. they are usually killing cruisers.

Easily completed in a AC Sleipnir. Though I forgot to bring alternative ammo for Mysuna I was able to kill him with 7x 425mm II guns and phased plasma, (also had 5 hornet t2 drones on him), but it took quite a long time. Also his tank didn't stop when I reloaded, and he regenerated lots of shield.

Don't use thermal against him, anything else will be a better choice.

Completed in passive, T2 fitted Drake. Dealing with Rachen Mysuna was 20 minutes frustraiting, constant bombardement. Effective below 20km, I strongly suggest to take someone with you if you are flying Drake - just for the final pocket(Mysuna) - you will save about 20 minutes. Loot from Mysuna was crappy.

Mysuna done in a Raven, 'Arbalest' Cruise Launcher I, Scourge Cruise Missiles, with 100 MN Afterburner at 15 km range and with Vespa II drones. I needed 1x reload missiles.

Done in a 600 DPS tengu. Mysuna have a good shield boost, after 7-8 salvoes taked down a half of the shield with scourge Fury HM,then overloaded , 700DPS, and the rest of the work was fast.

Damage dealt is Kinetic only in the three pockets. My Reactive Armor Hardener was permanently throwing full Kin buff, and 0% to the rest of elements.

Very easily done in a T1 Armageddon with skills.

Ran with an active shield tanked Drake with little problems. The various pockets don't seem to aggro on each other and no one attacked my drones, so if you pay attention and don't attack multiple groups at once the damage is easy to manage. The last pocket can be tough particularly if you can't snipe the towers from a ways out - I usually try to kill everything else before focusing on Rachen, and then burn to him and drain him down with a Nos.

I find this a decent loot run contrary to other posts - consistently at 10m in loot and 9.7m in bounties this last run (0.6 space) on top of 2.2m in reward for me.

Mysuna went down to 720 arty on hurricane using t1 fusion ammo, not sure why anyone would have trouble with decent fit battleship.
