Epic Arc Overview

Standings Required: +5.00 Minmatar Republic (Faction) or +5.00 Brutor Tribe (Corporation) AND >-2.0 Minmatar Republic (Faction)
Additional Requirements: Hacking III and Archaeology III (skill), Data Analyzer and Relic Analyzer (module)
Recommended Ships: Shield Battleship: T1 Faction (Machariel, Raven Navy, Tempest Fleet, Scorpion Navy, etc) or Shield Marauder (Vargur or Golem are better for this), all with MicroJumpDrive, mobile depot and propulsion module in inventory.

* This means while running the epic arc, you can continue doing missions even if your standing drops below +5.00 yet remains above -2.00 Faction standing.

Mission 2 - The Cost of Preservation

- Spawn 1 Frigs rep back to 100% health before 1 large turret cycle completes
- Spawn 1 Frigs can't be solod by t2 light drones, but can by t2 medium drones
- Spawn 2 appears when Ailon takes armor damage
- Spawn 2 consisted out of 5 cruisers (class Caracal) and 6 Machariels with me
- Place archive key in archive container to receive the book

Mission 4 & 5 (Glowing Embers & From way above)

Mission 4 is a courier mission
- Prepare for mission 5, Angel Cartel
- Warp to mission 4 Encounter
- Deposit the Wildfire Khumaak
- Complete mission through your journal & Accept mission 5 through journal!!!

Mission 5
- I have no exact details on these, mind this please!
- Multiple spawns through triggers
- Frigs will only target paint you
- First spawn has two or three triggers, BC tribuni & Angel frig ... and possible cruiser trigger.
- Total of 4 or 5 waves
- Killing last Tribuni in first wave triggers cruiser, bc, 1 BS wave
- Killing last Angel frig in first wave spawns cruiser, destroyer, frig wave
- Killing last Cruiser in first wave might spawn a new wave(?)
- Possible trigger: Gist warlord (from wave following Tribuni trigger wave 1)

- Mission completed after killing Gist Domination Nephilim (& Saint?)(Blitz)

Mission 2 - The Cost of Preservation

Expect a constant stream of kinetic damage from heavy missiles.

Ailion Boufin loves to target drones -nothing else. I stuck a fast one in orbit around him to keep him occupied while I worked the other combatants. I didn't have enough fire power to take Ailion Boufin out first. I had to wipe out all of the other ships first and then get in his face.

@HelmsmanJohn: Nope, I definitely got timer-based spawns. Every spawn was on me within a minute. I'm trying to figure out if it's still solo-able. I've got a dual repping Fed Domi, four hardeners and a DCII, and even with everything on I was losing armor fast.

Mission 5 From Way Above definitely seems timer based. I tried first in a Maelstrom and couldn't tank the whole room, and couldn't kill them fast enough to keep up. I came back in a Scorpion Navy issue with large booster, 2x boost amps, 2x Exp, 1x Kin and 1x Invul plus a target painter. and 4x bcs... jumped in at 100km and kited them out. had no trouble tanking the whole room this time. Definitely soloable, but the BS's hit hard and need to be kept at a huge distance while you clear the room. The SNI has a huge benefit over a CNR in this mission due to the extra speed and targeting range. I also kept laying bookmarks as I kited just in case I had to choose one to come back to. Didn't need to, but they work.

Mission 5 - Tank for Explosive and Kinetic (if you keep your distance, I would focus on kinetic as the torps do the most damage from the last 5 spawned battleships.) I didn't see any EM so not sure why that is listed but it is not needed.

Done in Maelstrom. Piece of cake keeping out of range of their auto cannons.

Completed missions #1 to #7 in T2 rigged Faction / Deadspace fitted Active Shield Tank Sleipnir (Command Ship) with T2 425mm AutoCannon / Heavy Assault Launcher.

After reading all the comments, I decided to use the 'warp to 100km' range option whenever available. This helped to spread out the rat packs. Most of the missions were easily and quickly completed except for Mission 5 - From Way Above.

Mission 5 - From Way Above:

NPC Spawns are indeed on a 1 to 2 minute timer, no triggers.
NPC spawn point is 50km from mission beacon.
NPC's will aggro up to 150km range.
NPC's will travel back to spawn point after reaching the 200km range.
NPC spawns will all group together and form 1 large group.

Due to my Sleipnir being fitted for close combat, I had to do a dance of 'Tug o War' with the group, working the different ranges listed above making the NPC's go back and forth from the spawn point out to 200km and back again. Doing this I was able to pick off the web / scram Frigates and Cruisers, then worked on the rest of the smaller NPC ships. After destroying all the Frigs, Destroyers, Cruisers and Battlecruisers at falloff range with Barrage M ammo and T2 Drones, I had no problem getting in close to the Battleships.

The 2x Domination Elite Battleships do Target Painting which is effective at +100km. I jumped on them first which greatly reduced the incomming DPS from all the other Battleships, plus they don't hit when doing up close combat.

Doing this took 5 of the 6 hr bonus time to complete it. If going in with close combat fit, probably a good idea to have a couple of fleet members on this mission. Wouldn't have to dance with the group then.

Mission - 2 I couldn't break the tank on the cruisers until I killed the BS's, I was seeing shield, armor AND structure repping on them. I had a t3 Loki overheated with Hail doing 833 dps and could not break the tank of Ailon Boufin after everything else had been killed, You'll have to bring Thermal damage to kill him. But I easily killed the frigs by kitting them out of their rep range.

I collected all Information on Rewards, loot and completion times.
For calculation of loot values, I took the in game inventory value (Juni 2014)
The Values are from 3 chars, doing the complete arc, killing everything. So loot and salvage should be quite reliable, since i took the value of the loot/salvage of all 3 and divided it by 3

salvage: 26 mil
loot: 92 mil
final reward (RSS-Probes): 110 mil
mission rewards + bonus: 120 mil
bountys for killing all npcs: 82 mil

total: 430 mil

I also measured the time, the arc required for completion killing all npcs and traveling without autopliot in a BS. I used a Vargur with faction/T2 fit (850-900 dps) and an alt with T3&Noctis für Hacking/Salvaging.
A lot of missions can be blitzed, saving some time (maybe 1 hour in total) but reducing loot/salvage. This is not taken into account.
